JACKSON, Miss. – Governor Tate Reeves today announced that he signed Senate Bill 2841 which expands the popular “blackout” tag and allows for generic usage of the tag for all Mississippians without requiring customization of characters on the plate.
JACKSON, Miss. – Governor Tate Reeves today issued a State of Emergency for Pontotoc, DeSoto, Tishomingo, Lee, and Tunica Counties as well as other areas of the state affected by the severe storms which occurred across northern Mississippi beginning on March 31, 2023 and continuing through April 1, 2023.
The storms resulted in the death of one Mississippi resident. Current assessments show that 182 homes, 8 businesses, and 6 farms were damaged during the storms.

The directive was announced in a letter from Governor Reeves to Mississippi department and agency heads. Governor Reeves issued the directive to better safeguard sensitive information and protect critical infrastructure from TikTok.
