Governor Tate Reeves today announced multiple appointments to key positions within state government.

Governor Tate Reeves today announced that he has set a special election to fill the vacancy in Senate District 18 (Leake, Neshoba, and Winston Counties). The vacancy is due to the resignation of the Honorable Jenifer B. Branning upon her election to the Mississippi Supreme Court effective January, 6 2025.

The U.S. Small Business Administration today approved Governor Tate Reeves’ request for assistance for homeowners and businesses affected by severe storms and tornadoes in Oktibbeha and Wayne Counties on December 28-29, 2024.

Governor Reeves today directed that all flags of the United States of America and the State of Mississippi be flown at full-staff on all buildings and grounds of the State of Mississippi and all areas under its jurisdiction beginning at sunrise and ending at sunset on Monday, January 20, 2025, in recognition of Donald J. Trump’s inauguration as the nation’s 47th President.

Project will be one of the largest hyperscale data center developments in the southeast and Compass’ first campus in the region. At full fit-out, the campus will represent a $10 billion investment and create thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

Governor Tate Reeves today issued Executive Order No. 1584 to foster stakeholder collaboration and harness artificial intelligence (AI) in Mississippi.  This is Mississippi’s first executive order pertaining to AI.
