Mississippi Deploying $70.9 Million for 24 Broadband Infrastructure Projects in 19 Counties

Governor Tate Reeves today announced that the Office of Broadband Expansion and Accessibility of Mississippi (BEAM) recently approved 24 broadband infrastructure projects to be funded by the Capital Projects Fund (CPF). BEAM anticipates additional CPF projects to be approved on a rolling basis throughout the summer.

Mississippi’s RESTORE Act State Expenditure Plan Amended and Approved

Governor Tate Reeves today announced that Mississippi’s State Expenditure Plan totaling $181 million has been amended and approved by the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration (RESTORE) Council. The plan and projects are funded through the RESTORE Act and were initially approved by Governor Reeves prior to the RESTORE Council’s consideration.

Governor Reeves’ Request for Individual Assistance Approved by White House

Governor Tate Reeves’ request for Individual Assistance for counties affected by the April 8-11 severe weather and tornadoes was approved by the White House. During that time the state experienced 13 tornadoes, severe storms, flooding, and straight-line winds. Two deaths were attributed to those storms. There are six counties approved for Individual Assistance.
