Governor Reeves Announces Treasury Award for Two RESTORE Projects

Governor Tate Reeves today announced that the U.S. Department of the Treasury has issued grant awards for two Mississippi RESTORE projects. They will strengthen infrastructure benefitting the economy in the Gulf Coast Region. The projects were initially approved by Governor Reeves based on recommendations made to him by the Governor’s Gulf Coast Advisory Committee in continued response to recovery from the BP Oil Spill.

SBA Approves Governor Reeves’ Request for Assistance in Response to Jackson Water Crisis

The U.S. Small Business Administration approved Governor Tate Reeves’ request for assistance for businesses affected by the Jackson Water Crisis. Many businesses within Hinds County, including the City of Jackson, have experienced economic losses due to total or near total loss of water pressure following the Pearl River flooding in late August 2022.

State Opens Water Distribution Sites for Those Impacted by Jackson Water Crisis

Governor Tate Reeves today announced that the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the Mississippi National Guard, Mississippi State Department of Health, Mississippi Forestry Commission, Mississippi Department of Public Safety, and Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture, Andy Gipson, in conjunction with Hinds County and the City of Jackson are opening water distribution supersites throughout the area impacted by the water crisis.
