Governor Reeves Approves Deployment of Mississippi National Guard to Florida in Wake of Hurricane Ian

At the request of the state of Florida, Governor Tate Reeves approved the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) request for assistance as Hurricane Ian is making its way north through the state of Florida. Approximately 20 Soldiers and Airmen of the Mississippi National Guard are deploying for emergency response missions in Florida.

Governor Reeves Announces Treasury Award for Two RESTORE Projects

Governor Tate Reeves today announced that the U.S. Department of the Treasury has issued grant awards for two Mississippi RESTORE projects. They will strengthen infrastructure benefitting the economy in the Gulf Coast Region. The projects were initially approved by Governor Reeves based on recommendations made to him by the Governor’s Gulf Coast Advisory Committee in continued response to recovery from the BP Oil Spill.
