Governor Reeves signed a proclamation directing all flags of the State of Mississippi be flown at half-staff on all buildings and grounds in Mississippi beginning at sunrise and ending at sunset on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in memory of Nikyra Dedeaux, and on Friday, January 17, 2025, in memory of Matthew Tenedorio. Both Jan. 9 and Jan. 17 will be days of mourning for the loss of these two Mississippians.

Governor Reeves Approves Mississippi National Guard Deployment to Florida Ahead of Hurricane Milton

JACKSON, Miss. – Governor Reeves today announced he approved the deployment of 22 Soldiers of the Mississippi National Guard (MSNG) to Tallahassee, Florida. The 22 Soldiers will support emergency response missions in Florida in the anticipated aftermath of Hurricane Milton. “Mississippi stands ready to assist Florida as they brace for Hurricane Milton,” said Governor Tate Reeves.
